Autumnal Weather...

Hello all! I can't believe we're already halfway through November!!

I had dance again today with the girlies, we now have 'Onesie Saturdays'. Of course, I don't have a onesie so that defeats the purpose, but still. It was nice to get together with the girls again!

Afterwards I went to visit family. I visited my aunt, Aimie, as it's her birthday, and we wanted to say hi. I spent time with my cousin while I was there, dancing along to the Beach Boys with her.

Then I went over the road to see my other aunt, well she was out so we saw my uncle, and their new kitten. He's Bob, and about six weeks old ♥

Isn't he just the cutest? He was found, abandoned, on a building site! :o But he has the cutest personality, and face, and markings, and everything! He even uses the litter box!

But I was out with my camera before dance this morning, and look at the pretty leaves!

Wow, I didn't realise quite how many pictures I took! Anyway, I hope you enjoy them, and have a good weekend!

Autumn Walk...

Yesterday saw some beautiful weather in the UK, and I also met up with my friend Lauren, who I haven't seen in more than a year. Because the weather was so nice, we decided to take a walk.

First off, we walked around the back roads to the church. I love the old stones it's made of.

At the side of the church is a farmyard with a farmhouse, old farm buildings and a car park for the church itself. And leading off from the yard are a couple of fields. The zoom on my camera is pretty good, as you can see in the picture above.

We took a wander down the canal at this point, and the boats were as pretty as always.

The sky wasn't perfect, I must admit, but most of the time it was pure blue with only a few puffy clouds.

The sky started clouding over as we were almost back home, but we still had a lot of photo opportunities :)

Looking back the way we'd just walked, this boat was slightly lopsided!

I really love this picture! The colours matched the boat, and they were just sitting there asking for a photo. Little did I know....

...that Lauren had found this little beauty resting on top of the same barge! She (I don't know if it was a she or a he) was so photogenic, and also so very friendly!

Walking back along the Moor's Lane, we said hello to the sheep...but they didn't seem very interested in us at all :(

The light was gorgeous at this point so I just couldn't resist this shot!

Almost home now...

And then we were home. This sign is so much ignored ;)

Back home, once Lauren had left, I was talking to Greg on webcam all evening. Such a lovely day :)

Long time, no see...

I can't believe it's been almost a month since I last posted! Gosh, school's been to busy to even think about crafting for a long time and that surprises me!

Anyway, the newest 'Designer's Challenge' is to make a cowl using cables, but it has to be inspired by autumn leaves. I have started mine (3/4 of the way there!) but it's top-secret at the minute - only a couple of people have seen it (that's you, Jodie and Katie!)

Well here is the link to the challenge thread on Ravelry, and here is the link to the discussion thread. To inspire anyone who wants to take part, I took a photo of the tree in my garden, which had some lovely colours on it!

That's all for now, so if you're looking for another crafty blog to read, why not try my aunt's?
