So this week has been outstanding for me! Let's begin!
1. Did my hair and makeup! Cat's eyes and bun with bandana :D
2. Dancing has been fun this week. In street on Monday I was on my own but I got to show off my epic tricks, which was cool. Contemporary was better, although, again, I was on my own. Becky (our new teacher) put us in a really cool looking formation. And ballet and pointe was good yesterday, painful, but good!
3. I made three Bower Birds, see here for the first one!
4. Found an awesome new ballet and stretching YouTube channel!
5. Found out that I'm taking an AS level along with my GCSEs next year!
6. Last week at school!
7. Saw my cousin instead of my cinema trip today, which was sadly cancelled :(
8. Got a summery feeling!!
That's all I can think of for now, but watch out for these next six weeks. Lots more posts!

Think Happy...34/52...
This week has been pretty good, especially since it's been half-term! Although, I must admit, I just took the opportunity to sit around the house and do absolutely nothing, for the most part! The most productive I've been is doing some of my homework today (eek, I really shouldn't leave it to last minute every time!), and recording a YouTube video - more on that later;)
Revision (why do I look so happy about it?!) |
1. Anyway, the first thing that springs to mind when someone says 'happy' is Skype. Again. Why do I always end up engrossed in the virtual world? But seriously, yesterday I spent almost four hours on Skype with Jack again. We spent the first hour or two talking rubbish while we gamed (him on Fifa, myself on Ace of Spades), with the occasional appearance of his cousins and sister. The last two hours I spent talking to him, his sister and two cousins (they were having a sleepover, get it now?) and we even played Disney trivia! I've decided now - we need to have a Disney movie marathon!
2. I've been trying my hair out in a bun all week, and I must say, it makes me look quite grown up! What do you think of it?
3. Oh, remember we talked about a YouTube video earlier? Well here's the link: Ace Of Spades - Girl's Night with Hannah and Carys! Please check it out, like and subscribe if you wish to see more videos like this! I've had so many of my friends comment on how funny they think this video is, and Jack can't shut up making jokes about how I 'get stuck in a crouch'! (P.s. Watch the video to see what I mean!)
4. The only active thing I did for the whole week was a ten minute ab workout I found on YouTube. I actually really enjoyed it, so I went onto my favourite workout site Blogilates and I'm now starting the daily workouts (or at least one exercise from each day!). Wish me luck!
That's all I can think of right now, so thanks for reading, I'll see you on Tuesday for a new song I was introduced to yesterday.

Think Happy...20/52...
I'm so sad that the holidays are over, I wish I had another week off school! But anyway, a lot of good things happened this week, and I can't wait to share them with you all!
1. My new beauty post! Check it out here if you haven't already seen it :)
2. The Cats arts and crafts day! Post about it is right here!
3. I went to Hannah's house after Cats on Wednesday, and we spent the whole time watching our friends' Youtube videos here and here!
4. I had a two-hour long contemporary class on Tuesday night to learn a whole new section of one of our dances, and although I nearly broke my knees (long story!), it was so much fun! My friend Harry (from school and Cats) will hopefully join after our Cats show!
5. Four and a half hour long Cats rehearsal today! Wow, it was so much hard work - a couple of hours of general rehearsal learning new numbers with our new cast member (hi James!), followed by a full run-through of the show which took almost two hours!
I'm really loving these couple of hours a week I spend with this different group of people, I've made a couple of new friends (Shane, Harry, Katie, Abi, Megan, Ariane, Tia, and the rest!) and met a whole load more! It's definitely helped build my confidence levels, since I can now sing and dance on my own in front of about thirty other people, whereas before I struggled to speak in front of my class at school!
In other news, Abi sprained her thumb today doing a cartwheel! She's more than slightly annoyed, and let's pray that it heals in time for her National Cheerleading Competition in two weeks!
Anyway, that's about all the good news from this week, other than having heart-to-heart conversations with one or two of my friends!
I hope you all have had a lovely week!

My Makeup Routine Update...
Recently, I realised that my makeup and face care routine has changed slightly since I last wrote about it here.
For instance, I now use a Simple face wash twice daily, and it seems to be working to keep my spots at bay.
I also use a new 'foundation' type product. It's Maybelline's New Dream Pure BB cream, and it's extremely good, with much better coverage than my previous favourite, Avon MagiX. The light colourings work well for my skintone, which is fairly pale.
The last new product I use is Maybelline's Fit Me concealer. I find it has fairly good coverage for what I use it for - the dark circles under my eyes and small blemishes. Although if you needed heavy coverage, then I don't think this is the product for you.
Here's a shot of me with and without makeup...

Excuse the messy pony - morning hair! |
This shot doesn't really do the makeup any justice, but you get the idea that the shine has been removed, as well as the dark circles under my eyes being hidden.
Poser, much? |
Well, you can definitely see the mascara here! This is my go-to everyday makeup look, and I love it! I don't highlight or contour, but am I looking into getting some blush. Does anyone use any nice ones?
P.s. I won't be posting a Ballet Basics post today, but I hope to get one out next week. I need a studio to be able to take the photos, but I'll have one next weekend. Dance classes are off today. Thanks for understanding!

Think Happy...15/52...
Hello again, how's your week been? Mine's not been too bad, which is, I suppose, a good thing. I just did the things I do every week, but I had fun.
1. Dancing all week! I made a new friend in my street dance class on Monday, did an intense workout with Tan and Hannah in contemporary on Tuesday, and I had a lot of fun yesterday.
As it happens, I ended up not going to Nuneaton since my dance teacher couldn't make it, but she promised that we'll go next weekend. I wasn't too affected by this change of plan, since I still got to use Kirsten's pointe shoes. They have lamb's wool in, which I can't recommend highly enough for pointework! I feel a thing when I'm up, which makes the cramping of my feet the only thing I have to worry about!
2. Nail varnish! I've been completely obsessed recently, and I've painted my fingernails in a colour scheme I 'borrowed' from a girl at dance and my toenails a sparkly blue!!
3. Cats rehearsals today. I was dancing from 10am until 2pm, and now I'm so exhausted! But I had such a great time, because my friend Tanveer was there (he is the Rum Tum Tugger).
We were in hysterics for most of the time, since he's such a crazy guy! For example, he was 'kicking' me in the face, and sitting on my shoulder. That was the funniest, because he's almost 19, and I'm only 15. So yeah, we had a great time!
Oh, and we wrapped Georgie up in Minnie's knee pads!
Hop you all had a good week!

So What's This 'Secret Thing'?...
Hello all! You know that 'secret thing' I mentioned the other day? Well, I'm allowed to tell you guys now! Nothing crafty, mind, but pretty exciting!
Basically my bestestfriendinthewholewideworldwhoiscalledHannah is taking Art as one of her GCSEs, and she needed a model for some coursework she's having to do. She was trying to recreate the work of an artist called Slaveika Aladjova, and I was more than willing to be her makeup guinea pig and model!
We first met up on Tuesday to try out the first look. These are my two favourite shots from the day!
Hannah did more or less all of my makeup, and all I had to do after that was sit on her very comfy bed and look pretty in front of the camera.
Now for yesterday. I had some blue makeup on today, with smaller cats eyes and flowers in my hair. These photos are now all straight out of camera (SOOC) and so they're unedited.
And now for some of Hannah!
So that's it, I hope you like them!! I'll be writing my normal 'Think Happy' post to release later, but in the meantime, sit back and relax.

My Makeup Routine...
Considering I've been pretty lazy over the past few days, I thought that today I'd make an effort to create a nice post for you all. And what's better than something most girls and ladies do every day - make up!
I got quite a lot of lovely makeup this Christmas, so I am merely 'showing off' my new products; I am not advertising them in any way (gee, I wish I could get paid for it!!), although I will be reviewing them.
Aww, I got all of my makeup in this super pretty cereal bowl!! Isn't it beautiful?
Anyway, I start off every morning by washing my face clean with some Witch facial wash (which I forgot to photograph - clever me). Since I'm a teenager I have quite a lot of spots, but I've found this really helps if I use it twice a day.
What I next do is apply my Avon Magix 'foundation' all over my face. I normally prefer the other version (the 'face perfector') that isn't as shiny and is slightly thicker, but this is really cool! It doesn't wear off at all, and the tube lasts quite a long time. The only bad point is that I don't have a regular Avon magazine, so I have to buy in bulk.
Now comes my powder. I use Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder, with just a simple foam puff.
Eyeliner. I only have a very thin line, mainly to my outer upper lid. I love pencil liners for how I use them, but if I was going to do a cat's eye I'd definitely need a liquid liner.
I got this one a while back...
...and this one for Christmas.
Now for my eye shadow. I use this Rimmel London purple set, and it's so natural looking!
This is the back of the packet, and I apply it as it suggests, which turns out very very nicely!
Now for some close-ups...
Mascara. I am actually so bad at putting on mascara so my eyes are sore from being jabbed so much, but I'm getting better.
The brush has a really nice curve to it, which makes it that much easier to apply.
And here's what the bottle says:
Lastly, lip balm/colour. Baby Lips 'Pink Punch'. I really genuinely love this; my lips are so soft and it tastes/smells soooo good!
That's it for my daily 'routine', but here are some other products I got for Christmas.
I painted my nails the other day with my new Rimmel London 60 Second nail varnish in the colourway 210 (Ethereal). It has a wider brush which means a much much easier application and I only need about 2 strokes to fully cover each nail.
I got this beautiful lip balm which has a strawberry jam flavour!
And a matching hand cream, which smells gorgeous (but not of strawberry jam!).
And I am totally in love with my new bracelets! I got three which all go perfectly together, only I've managed to misplace the third one already....it'll show up soon, I'm sure!
This pretty one is covered in sparkly beads that catch the light!
And this one is my favourite!
It's so delicate and I have barely taken it off since I got it!
So that's all for today, I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone, and that you got everything you wished for for Christmas. Thank you to everyone who bought me gifts and I am also so so thankful to each and every person that reads my blog! I hope it wouldn't be too much to ask to share it around a little, so I can gain even more fabulous readers? Please? Hahaha, thanks in advance :)
