think happy | 49/52

You may or may not know that I celebrated my birthday yesterday, so I can easily say that this week has been quite good, to be fair!

1. I turned 16! I feel so old, it's kind of crazy, really, even though I'm not! Just compared to being 14, for example, I definitely feel more mature!

I spent the day with Hannah. We had dance in the morning, which was nice and challenging! The lessons were good and made us sweat and ache and groan, but it's all for a good cause.

In pointe, we also learnt a variation that Hayley, our teacher, made on the spot and I loved it! I think I've really improved with my couru-ing!

Hannah then came home with me and we went on a walk, ate pizza, and messed around on my laptop, whilst eating chocolate! It was a fun day.

2. I finished my yoga socks! Well, I use them for pointework now, and they're so warm and comfy!

3. Maths class on Friday we had a cover lesson. And the teacher we had was so good at teaching. Like, our class actually understood how to transform functions by the end of it!

It was also very entertaining. I was part of a conversation with Saffron, Ella and Taisir about one of Saffron's many hilarious stories, one of which I've never heard before. And considering I sat next to her for maths at the end of last year, that was surprising. She can talk for England!

4. I got an A* in my mid-unit Restless Earth geography paper this week, which I'm so pleased with! I only dropped 2 marks, and they were silly mistakes, so I know how to correct that next time.

5. I watched the entire first season of Sherlock today. I got the box set of all three seasons so far yesterday from my parents, so I spent four and a half hours today watching it. Wow, it's so good!

I think that's all for now anyway, actually. I hope you have a good Monday, I'll see you on Tuesday!

Think Happy...18/52...

Hello again, time for another Think Happy!

1. Met a lovely girl through a ballet group on Facebook. If you're reading this Natacha, then hi!!

2. Dance rehearsals have been good - we've finished a lot of our dances recently and starting new ones as well.

I also recorded a dance with my friend Tanveer in contemporary class, but I'm not sure he'd want me to post it. That said, if you're friends with me on Facebook you'll have seen it. I will try to record it again in the next couple of months before he heads off to uni.

3. I hit 12 followers on Bloglovin!! Come on guys, follow me over there if you're not already - the link is in the sidebar :D

4. Today I was playing around on Gimp and ended up creating this image.

If you're struggling to see the fairy, why not pop on over to here and click on the magnifying glass above the picture? I think that helps :D

5. I've been working on my crochet a lot! I released my Baby Hearts pattern the other day, I have another Valentine-themed pattern almost ready to be published and I'm working on an amigurumi!

Do you want a sneak peek?

There you go! Make of it what you will :D

6. I had another photoshoot today - this time it was at Cats rehearsals. Talking of which, they went really well too, so that was a brilliant end to a brilliant week, minus a few small mishaps.

7. My brother's birthday was on Thursday, so we went out to celebrate! I ate so much food!

I think that's it for today then! I hope you all had a lovely

Birthdays...

Hello all, this is my first post since I turned 14 yesterday! I had a great birthday and I can't wait to share some of my presents with you!

My friend Ioana (hello and thank you so much!) bought me a birthday angel and 4 beautiful books. They are: Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, Ritual by Mo Hayder, and another Mo Hayder book, The Treatment. They look so good and I can't wait to read them!

I got lots of gift vouchers from various friends and relatives (I want to mention Katie, Ria and Jasmine now - thank you all so much!). I also got a beautiful bracelet and this amazing book from my auntie Aimie (here is her blog - she has some amazing stuff on there)! Thank you so much for the presents Aimie!

Well that's all for now, folks, I'll be back soon with some photos (hopefully)!

Looking back...

Hello again! It's the last day of my six-week summer holiday so I thought I might as well look back at my lovely time off school. During this holiday, I have had many great times with my friends and family. Let me tell you about some of them...

I've seen my friends...

Ria

I've been to my cousin and uncle's joint birthday party...

Faye is 5 now!
I've talked to my friend who I haven't seen or spoken to for 8 years!!! Her name is Nikita!

And I've had my hair cut...(Sorry - no picture of that!)

I've also made some progress on some of my crafty projects! I now have 44 squares on my blanket and have completed my baby seal.

His name is Finn!

That's all for now, folks. I'm going to start my first day of year 9 at school tomorrow in a new school uniform - I hope your day will be as exciting as mine!
