So I was looking for something to do this afternoon, and I ended up armed with my crochet hook and embroidery thread. I've found my love for micro crochet in the past, and today I played around to make this!
It's super tiny at only 18mm tall, and it's so cute!
Here you can see how small it is compared to me!
And here ;)
Anyway, I made it using two strands of embroidery thread and a 1.25mm hook from this pattern. It only took a little while to make, and everyone loves it :P

Think Happy...41/52...
So this week has been outstanding for me! Let's begin!
1. Did my hair and makeup! Cat's eyes and bun with bandana :D
2. Dancing has been fun this week. In street on Monday I was on my own but I got to show off my epic tricks, which was cool. Contemporary was better, although, again, I was on my own. Becky (our new teacher) put us in a really cool looking formation. And ballet and pointe was good yesterday, painful, but good!
3. I made three Bower Birds, see here for the first one!
4. Found an awesome new ballet and stretching YouTube channel!
5. Found out that I'm taking an AS level along with my GCSEs next year!
6. Last week at school!
7. Saw my cousin instead of my cinema trip today, which was sadly cancelled :(
8. Got a summery feeling!!
That's all I can think of for now, but watch out for these next six weeks. Lots more posts!

Attic24's Bower Bird...
Hiiii!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited to write this post today because it's finally happening! After a year-long wait, Lucy's pattern for a bower bird was released the other day, and I finished mine today!
Isn't she just the sweetest?! I highly recommend that you go check out the pattern right here, because she has so many gorgeous birds over on her blog.
I love her so much! She's made from acrylic DK yarn, but the pale blue details are stitched with cotton DK, and I actually prefer this yarn, so maybe I'll make an entirely cotton bird one day soon.
Anyway, here's another full-body shot...
Aww, it feels like I'm falling in love! Anyway, I already have another on my hook, so I'll leave now so you have time to make your own. Send me a link once you have, I'd love to see yours! Bye!

Think Happy...18/52...
Hello again, time for another Think Happy!
1. Met a lovely girl through a ballet group on Facebook. If you're reading this Natacha, then hi!!
2. Dance rehearsals have been good - we've finished a lot of our dances recently and starting new ones as well.
I also recorded a dance with my friend Tanveer in contemporary class, but I'm not sure he'd want me to post it. That said, if you're friends with me on Facebook you'll have seen it. I will try to record it again in the next couple of months before he heads off to uni.
3. I hit 12 followers on Bloglovin!! Come on guys, follow me over there if you're not already - the link is in the sidebar :D
4. Today I was playing around on Gimp and ended up creating this image.
If you're struggling to see the fairy, why not pop on over to here and click on the magnifying glass above the picture? I think that helps :D
5. I've been working on my crochet a lot! I released my Baby Hearts pattern the other day, I have another Valentine-themed pattern almost ready to be published and I'm working on an amigurumi!
Do you want a sneak peek?
There you go! Make of it what you will :D
6. I had another photoshoot today - this time it was at Cats rehearsals. Talking of which, they went really well too, so that was a brilliant end to a brilliant week, minus a few small mishaps.
7. My brother's birthday was on Thursday, so we went out to celebrate! I ate so much food!
I think that's it for today then! I hope you all had a lovely

Baby Hearts...
So it's Valentine's day in only a week! Eeek, who's excited?! I am! And to make this special day even more special, why not crochet yourself some super easy Baby Hearts?
These hearts are crocheted as two flat pieces and then sewn together and stuffed to create super cute little decorations! I hope you like them.
Here's the pattern!

Think Happy...17/52...
Well it's Sunday again! How are you all, and how's your week been? I hope it's been good :)
1. This week I've really been able to hear the birds singing in the mornings while walking to school, and at those times it feels like spring is almost here! But other times leads me to think that winter hasn't yet started, what with all the rain we've been getting. I really hope the weather starts to cheer up soon.
2. Dance classes yet again. I had my hair in a baby quiff and tons of makeup on, all for a photoshoot for the programme for when we dance in London. I'm so excited!!
Hannah isn't dancing in London with me, but she did my bronzer for me :)
Also, contemporary class on Tuesday was so hysterically funny, from 'running like peacocks and apes' to racing to see if we were locked into the car park! Never had so much fun!
3. Cats rehearsals today were good. Because our choreographer was off ill, our director taught us a couple of new songs, meaning we're more or less done! With less than eight weeks until the performances, all we need to do now is practise and practise and practise.
Today, Charlotte (our Grizabella) watched us dance through the Jellicle Ball and gave us all feedback, including for me to act the role more. Apparantly I dance perfectly, but I need to become the chatacter more. So we ran through the twelve-minute dance once more and I really went OTT with the acting, earning a number of smiles and head nodding from Charlotte and our director, which was extremely nice!
I've never been great at acting - only scraping low level 5's in year eight drama classes (not great - at year six you want to be working at high level 5's!); so today I've finally been given some criticism to act upon. At dance I hardly ever get criticism, so it feels good to be able to see myself growing as a performer.
4. I've been working on some new crochet designs, so keep your eyes open for a sneak peak soon!
5. Just this week in general, really! I made up with a close friend after falling out, which was super nice!! Hope it stays this way! We've also had some sunny weather over the weekend, although I doubt that will last.
That's all for today, folks; I hope your week has been as good as mine has, and I hope to see you again next week!

Bunting...
Hello again! I've got to say, I've been pretty busy this weekend, but I'll talk more about that in my Think Happy post later (yes, double post day!). First I'd like to talk about my bunting.
Yesterday morning I finished the triangles (minus the letters) and they looked so good! This is the prettiest thing I've made in a long time.
The edges all look really neat with the white edging, I can't believe the difference it makes! I opted not to block them after all - I think they look pretty enough with slightly rounded corners; besides, I was too excited about sewing on the letters to wait any longer!
And these are the finished triangles! Yay!!
You had enough teasers yet? Well here they are in all their glory!
All spaced out, ready for the string/crochet strip! Then they'll be finished!
Thank you so much for reading all through this really long post!! I'll also be posting later this evening, so keep an eye out!

So the lighting in these next few pictures isn't so good since I was all cosied up at my desk in the evening. I love hand sewing a lot, it's just really therapeutic and always relaxes me. Whilst sewing these up, I was watching some videos on Youtube - from people such as Tanya Burr, Joe Sugg, Zoella, Alfie, Jim Chapman and lots more! And these are the finished triangles! Yay!!
Oops, I got my hair in this photo! I really should tie it back! |
Ooops, more hair in this photo too! |

Crochet Day!...
Hello my lovelies! How are you on this fine Friday? I feel so Christmassy today - it's only 5 days away!! As I'm sitting here writing this, I'm listening to this song in my new (second-hand) jeans and (complete coincidence!) My Chemical Romance hoodie! The sky outside is overcast but it's perfect for my photography - nature's very own softbox. All that really means is that the light is reflected off the clouds and that it's being diffused to leave perfect natural lighting for photography. It doesn't leave harsh shadows and evenly lights your subject.
Right now, I'm working on my crochet project again! Want to know what it is?.....
Bunting!!
Yes, I've never made any before, yet it's so quick and easy, and I'd forgotten how relaxing crochet can be.
Yesterday I showed you a picture of the lettering, and it's going to read 'DANCE'!
It started off small...
Then got to be this size! That's fourteen rows of yummy hookiness!
They're all finished now, so just look at all those rows of deliciousness! Mmm, that's one good crochet sandwich!
And again...
...and again...
Don't you just love those colours? I really love using colours in my work, and these just feel so perfect to me!
Sorry for bombarding you with so many pictures of those triangles, they just look so perfect and amazing that I had to show you them all!
Now, do you want to see the letters? Yes? Okay then!

So, by this morning I'd already crocheted four of the five bunting triangles, so I set to work crocheting the last one in a lilac coloured yarn.It started off small...

And this is (roughly) what my bunting is going to look like!! I still need to edge the triangles and block them to get pointy corners, and then I need to crochet the string that will allow them to hang down, but already so excited!
And that concludes today's post (which I'm really happy about because it has so many pictures!). I really made an effort to make this post look good, to do the bunting some justice! I'll catch you up on the next parts of the bunting on Sunday - I'm going out most of tomorrow so fingers crossed I'll have enough time to show you on Sunday!
Have a good weekend!
